Creating Memories, Building Community

CALEDONIA—The ongoing renovations converting the old arena at the Caledonia Fairgrounds into the Riverside Exhibition Centre are progressing well, but the Caledonia Agricultural Society is still looking for the public’s support of the project.

“Our fundraising committee has been working hard and has done a terrific job, with lots of great response from the community. But we still have a way to go,” says Agricultural Society President, Allan Hedley. “We’re asking for individuals and businesses to join in and help us finish the job.”

One fun way for involvement is the new “Cover Callie the Cow” campaign. For every donation of $500, $750, or $1,000, donors may choose a brick with their name or message on it which will later be placed along the pathway to the building’s main entrance. Those donations will also be measured with miniature bricks placed on signs of Callie the Cow, the beloved Caledonia Fair Mascot.
