Lansdowne Children’s Centre to assume Preschool Speech Services in HN

HALDIMAND—Lansdowne Children’s Centre (LCC) is enhancing its ability to provide integrated services for Haldimand and Norfolk children with special needs.

With the support of the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services, LCC is adding responsibility for the Preschool Speech and Language program to its range of services supporting children and youth in Brant, Haldimand, and Norfolk with physical, communications, and/or developmental challenges. LCC is working on continuity plans with the Haldimand Norfolk Health Unit, which has delivered these services until ending its arrangement, effective September 30, 2019. Services will continue to be provided to Haldimand and Norfolk families in sites throughout both counties. HN Health Unit notified parents of children currently in the programs or on the waitlist of this change.
