Third annual HN Pride Day taking place in Dunnville

To The Haldimand Press

DUNNVILLE—Pride is celebrated early in Haldimand and Norfolk. Pride Haldimand Norfolk (PHN) is pleased to announce the third annual Pride Day on May 25, 2019 at Lions Park in Dunnville from 1 to 4 p.m. All supporters are welcome to celebrate together with our friends, family, neighbours, and co-workers who are part of LGBTQTwoSpirit+ communities.

LGBTQTwoSpirit+ stands for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer (or Questioning), Two Spirit, and the + recognizes that there are many more identities not explicitly listed in the acronym and we acknowledge these as well.

At this event, we will gather to raise awareness and share experiences while enjoying the great musical talent of Danny Dymond, Lacey Hill, and Darcy Feaver, along with the comedy of Patrick Alexander. We will also host special guests Flamingo Mutiny Brigade, Lorenzo Cromwell, and Sonya McKeen. We are planning a Queer + Ally Handmade Market with artists and creators from Haldimand Norfolk, as well as Burlington and Hamilton. There are more than 20 organizations from as far away as Toronto who will be in the park to provide information about who they are and what they do. No event is complete without food vendors, so Debb’s Cuisine on Queen and Sweet Retro-spect will be back for the third year, along with some new food vendors.
