CAYUGA—While Cayuga Secondary School is not advancing to the provincial drama competition, it did bring home two awards from the regional competition last week.
An Acting Award of Merit was given to Marcus Hoecht and the entire group won an Award of Excellence for Spirit of Collaboration.
The play, “They Eat Sunshine, Not Zebras”, explored how communities may reject and attack those who are different through the entertaining image of a dandelion growing in a lawn of grass. Drama Club advisors Rebecca Hoecht and Jonathan Mann are very proud of the group’s accomplishments.
