HAGERSVILLE—The Hagersville Farmers market has been a staple of the community since it first began in 1892.
Since 2018, the Hagersville and District Chamber of Commerce has operated the market. Now, after being closed for a year, the Chamber is happy to announce the farmers market will be reopening.
Rob Phillips, President of the Chamber, noted that choosing to close the market last year “was a difficult and yet necessary and appropriate decision, particularly in light of the number of COVID-19 cases and lives lost in Hagersville early in the pandemic.” He went on to say, “However, the Chamber also realizes the importance of the Hagersville Farmers Market to the vendors and the community and is working on a reopening plan for essential products.”
