This Refund Policy describes Our policies and procedures on purchase returns.

Interpretation and Definitions

Interpretation

The words of which the initial letter is capitalized have meanings defined under the following conditions. The following definitions shall have the same meaning regardless of whether they appear in singular or in plural.

For the purposes of this Privacy Policy:

Company (referred to as either “the Company”, “We”, “Us” or “Our” in this Agreement) refers to The Haldimand Press 2017 Inc., 6 Parkview Road, Hagersville, ON, N0A 1H0.

Country refers to: Ontario, Canada

Service refers to newspaper subscriptions and/or advertisements with the Company.

Website refers to The Haldimand Press, accessible from https://haldimandpress.com/

You means the individual accessing or using the Service, or the company, or other legal entity on behalf of which such individual is accessing or using the Service, as applicable.

Types of Refund Requests

Mistaken Purchase

While using Our Service, if a Service purchase is made in mistake, please contact Us. 

Subscriptions to the newspaper can be refunded if the mistake is communicated by You within thirty (30) days of purchase; such refunds will be reduced by $1 per newspaper delivered before the mistake is communicated, including that week’s newspaper if mailing has been completed prior. Past this thirty (30) day timeframe, no refund will be provided. The subscription can be cancelled without a refund, or the address on the subscription can be changed.

Advertising purchases can only be refunded if You have informed Us of the mistake prior to the deadline for the newspaper edition in which the advertisement was scheduled to run. This deadline is the Monday prior at 10 a.m., except in the case of holidays when the deadline is the Friday prior at 10 a.m. Past this deadline, no refund is available.

In the case of death

While using Our Service, if a Service purchaser is now deceased, please contact Us.

Other reasons

Our newspaper is purchased for subscriptions with a duration of one (1), two (2), or three (3) years. When purchasing Our newspaper subscriptions, this acts as an agreement for You to accept delivery of the newspaper for that duration, and for Us to provide that Service for the duration. The subscription can be cancelled without a refund, or the address on the subscription can be changed.

Advertising purchases can only be refunded if You have informed Us of the change prior to the deadline for the newspaper edition in which the advertisement was scheduled to run. This deadline is the Monday prior at 10 a.m., except in the case of holidays when the deadline is the Friday prior at 10 a.m. Past this deadline, no refund is available.
