DUNNVILLE—Keeping busy by crafting, painting, and sewing is how Dunnville resident Donna Luscombe passes her time since losing her husband and moving to Haldimand from Hamilton last May – but she needed some fresh ideas.
Utilizing the internet, Luscombe posted on a local Facebook page asking for ideas and found one idea that touched her heart: shirt coverings for seniors. Instead of traditional bibs, sewers have begun altering old shirts so they can be easily laid over the person’s clothing to protect from any fallen food, and then easily removed for washing. She thought, “Well that looks interesting, I’ll look into it…. It’s a pretty cool idea.”
