Recently, The Knights of Columbus District 100 brought the Ontario Special Olympics flag to St. Mary’s School in Hagersville, St. Stephen’s School in Cayuga, and Notre Dame School and St. Patricks’s School in Caledonia. The flag is one of seven similar flags circulating in the province.
The purpose of the Knights of Columbus Flag Relay is to raise public awareness of the Special Olympics program.
Special Olympics is one of the many community projects in which State and subordinate council participation is highly encouraged by the Supreme Council of the Knights of Columbus. Knights and their families all over North America support the efforts of Special Olympians not only by financial donations but by donations of volunteer hours in local, provincial, and national events.
