HAGERSVILLE — On the afternoon of Saturday, September 21, 2019 the Haldimand and Norfolk Women’s Services (HNWS) held their fourth annual Hope in High Heels charity event at the Hagersville Legion. The event was to raise awareness and funds to benefit the residential and community services provided by the local organization. The shelter provides a safe place for women and their children to live in order to escape an abusive situation.

Jane Scheel, Executive Director for the HNWS, estimates that “about a dozen men participated in the walk and raised approximately $2,000 for the shelter”.
