$3 million goal reached for new emergency department at HWMH

DUNNVILLE—The Dunnville Hospital & Healthcare Foundation (DHHF) has reached its $3 million, fundraising goal in support of the new Emergency Department at Haldimand War Memorial Hospital (HWMH).

“It’s thanks to the incredible generosity of the local community and the hard work of our campaign volunteers that we were able to achieve this milestone,” says Karen Tilstra, the foundation board chair during the “Every Moment Counts” campaign. She notes that $3 million is the largest amount ever raised for the hospital during a capital campaign.

“The foundation is well aware of the importance of our hospital to the community and the urgent need to provide a new, larger space for enhanced emergency care,” she adds. “We’re delighted that so many businesses and individuals responded to our appeal to help fund the construction of a large, modern Emergency Department to serve the residents of Dunnville and beyond.”
