HALDIMAND–There are many traditions to look forward to on the long holiday weekend in May: opening the cottage, barbecues, fireworks, and, in Haldimand County, the Vintage Farm Equipment and Collectibles Tour.
This popular three-day event offers a unique opportunity to celebrate our rural heritage. The six tour locations feature a wide variety of antique tractors, machinery, and equipment paying homage to the agricultural practices of past generations. From May 18 to 20, 2019 visitors can explore farm technology and innovation through the years at the Walpole Antique Farm Machinery Association (WAFMA) site, Jarvis; Dave and Mike Doughty’s, Jarvis; Jim and Guy’s Hart Parr Haven, Nelles Corners; The Sitter Massey Memories Museum, Hagersville; the Drilling Rig Museum, Selkirk; and Doug and Vera Greenfield’s, Hagersville.
