HALDIMAND—The Grand Erie Business Centre is celebrating 30 years of serving the community.
The Centre, a privately-run not-for-profit corporation, specializes in the development of local business in the Haldimand region and the township of West Lincoln. It was initially founded in 1989.
“The Grand Erie Business Centre is part of a larger national organization called the Community Futures Development Network that was formed to support business and economic development in rural Canada,” says Robert Manning, Business and Lending Advisor with the Centre. “The centre is one of over 220 offices nationwide.”
The organization is overseen by a volunteer board of directors drawn from business leaders and partners within the community. Their mission is to support local business and foster economic development in the rural communities of Haldimand.
