Lynne Hogeterp made the above barn quilt for her dad, Walter Irwin, to display at his farm. Irwin has lived at the farm, located at 435 Townline Rd. W. between Cayuga and Hagersville, for over 81 years.
“The original owners of the farm were Scottish immigrants (named Armstrong) and the colours of the quilt are based on a pocketknife that belonged to a member of this family. My dad believes that they may be their tartan colours,” said Hogeterp.
