CANFIELD—“Outset”, “nylon,” and “dome” were only some of the words that Robert Hinnells of Canfield revealed on his Instant Crossword Deluxe ticket to win a $250,000 top prize.
The 71-year-old knew he was a winner right away, but thought that he had only revealed nine words. He scanned the ticket using the OLG Lottery App and saw his prize amount.
“I was in disbelief,” Hinells shared while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up his cheque. “I was questioning if it was true.”
Hinells, a retiree, will spend some of his winnings to take his grandkids on vacation, though he hasn’t decided where yet.
“I have some plans. I haven’t taken a vacation in a while,” he concluded.
The winning ticket was purchased at Corner Store on Highway 56 in Binbrook.
