JARVIS—This year the first baby of the year at Hobbitstee caught us all by surprise. Most years it alternates between cottontails, squirrels, or baby raccoons, but this year it was a newly-hatched baby Great Horned Owl who had fallen from the nest.
The owlet was discovered sitting underneath a tree by a farmer who was bringing in her horses for the night.
Birds are unfortunately not equipped to transport their own babies and require help with this.
