DUNNVILLE—Jordan Heron and Stephanie Campbell-Heron have called Haldimand, more specifically Dunnville, home since 2007.

It was for the love of their horses and the need for affordable land that brought them here. Having searched around, Haldimand County provided just what they needed.

“I grew up mostly in Barrie. When I moved to Toronto to attend the University of Toronto, I met some people who did medieval re-enactments there 1978, so I’ve been doing that on and off ever since,” said Heron on how he would eventually meet his wife in a group called the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA). He was in Eoforwic, the Toronto group, since the 1980s and she in Ben Dunfirth, the Hamilton group.
