HAGERSVILLE—The Crime Stoppers of Haldimand and Norfolk have announced that the recipient of the 2019-2020 Crime Stoppers’ William Robert Courtnage Community Service Bursary is Travis Phibbs of Hagersville Secondary School (HSS). Neil Unwin, Crime Stoppers Chairperson, presented the $1,000 award to Phibbs on July 12, 2020 at HSS.
During his four years at HSS, Travis has enjoyed participating in many Student Crime Stoppers activities, including promoting awareness of and volunteering with Crime Stoppers, the Santa Claus Parade, the Hagersville Food Bank, and the Jarvis Lions food and clothing drive. A highlight each year is the Spring Breakfast, which the Student Crime Stoppers help prepare and serve to more than 500 guests.
