DUNNVILLE—It was a roundabout journey that brought Sue Wilkins to Haldimand County, but she has certainly grown strong roots since, along with a love for the town of Dunnville and its people.

Born and raised in Hamilton, she attended university in London where she met her husband, Bill (now deceased). They settled in Sault St. Marie where Wilkins lived for 25 years and they had two sons: Jacob (Barb) in Barrie and Chris (Meg) in North Bay.

In 2003, a near-death experience instilled in her a strong desire to continually make a difference in her community and in the lives of those around her.
