HALDIMAND—The following issues were discussed at a Haldimand County Council meeting on Tuesday, March 30, 2021. All decisions will need to be ratified at the following meeting on Tuesday, April 6.
Local dog training business applies for temporary use bylaw to continue operating
Canine Bond, a local dog training business operatingout of a single-family dwelling located on River Road in Oneida, has applied for a temporary bylaw to continue operations through December 2022. The business is currently operating on a property that does not meet all the requirements of the zoning bylaw in regard to setbacks from neighbouring properties and property lines. Neighbours told County staff they agree with the current owner continuing operations, but requested the allowance not be transferrable if the property is sold.
