Approved outlets to sell alcohol on some holidays

HALDIMAND—Haldimand Council has voted to allow approved LCBO operations within licensed convenience stores to sell alcoholic beverages on certain statutory holidays throughout the year.

“The Province has issued licences for these outlets already; they require the municipality to approve whether or not alcohol can be sold on statutory holidays,” explained Cathy Case, General Manager of Corporate and Social Services on why Council’s approval was being sought.
