From seed to stock pot

CALEDONIA—The Caledonia Fair, as part of this year’s theme “Community Harvest”, is launching a community project. “From Seed to Stock Pot” invites the gardeners of Haldimand County and surrounding area to work together on creating a community soup night.

Donations of garden vegetable produce will be accepted on September 18, 2021. Volunteers from the Caledonia Agricultural Society will take these donations and create a Community Harvest Soup, which will be available for purchase as a take out meal event on September 26, 2021. All proceeds will be donated to the Caledonia Food Bank. The Ag Society is also making vegetable seeds available for those who want to plant and grow especially for this project.
