My friend Sarah Richardson of Caledonia recently visited me and brought me a dish of her Brussels sprout salad and it was delicious. I enjoy eating baked Brussels sprouts but this salad is made using them raw. I really liked the combination of ingredients and the orange flavoured dressing certainly added to the flavour. It is one that I would definitely make.

Sarah also brought me a couple of her S’more cookies. They were delicious. Be sure to transfer them to a rack from the pan as the marshmallows will stick to the pan if they sit for too long. Use your judgement for the amount of flour as adding the chips, the graham wafers, and the marshmallows (which can be cut into half/quarters but is extremely time consuming) makes it kind of dry to begin with. Also be sure butter is softened and not melted.

I recently had a request for a recipe using artichokes. When I asked Sarah if she had one, she gave me her tomato and artichoke gnocchi recipe. I haven’t made it yet, but I am sure it is delicious as any of the recipes that I have gotten over the years from Sarah are always good ones.

Thanks to Sarah for sharing these three excellent recipes.
