CALEDONIA—After a two year absence, the Haldimand Cattlemen’s Association hosted its annual Junior Show and Family Field Day at the Burrill Family Farm located near Caledonia. This event helps kick-off the show season for the Haldimand 4-H Beef Club with 23 members entering the show ring. Judge Dwayne Miller of Jarvis selected Zoë Tjepkema’s heifer, Red Tjepkema Ritz 4J, as the Grand Champion and Reid Phibbs’ calf, Clay Creek Knockout 4K, the Reserve Grand Champion. In showmanship, Daniel Schweyer was named Grand Champion and Rebekah Passow Reserve Grand Champion. An entertaining fundraising auction took place after the show, followed by a delicious beef-on-a-bun supper.
