To the Editors,
I see that the Federal Conservatives have weighed in on the shortage of children’s medicine to counteract the effects of rising cases of cold and flu with a video criticizing how the issue is being handled by Health Canada, and by extension, the Trudeau government.
I’m wondering, however, if the Conservatives’ “Shadow Cabinet”, of which our MP Leslyn Lewis is a member, made any procedural suggestions prior to the shortage, or waited, like so many Opposition parties, until it became obvious, and started pointing fingers.
If the boys and girls in blue want to become the government, then maybe they should start presenting themselves as “leaders”, making suggestions to alleviate, or even avoid a problem before it becomes a problem.
It might be time for our MP to concern herself less with the ego-stroking leadership races and concern herself more with doing the job for which she was elected.
