DUNNVILLE—Pictured are some of the veterans and family members who attended a special Flags of Remembrance ceremony on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at the Dunnville Legion. The event gave those who sponsored a flag and plaque in support of Flags of Remembrance, an annual display held in Dunnville’s Wingfield Park, a chance to pick up their flags. Flags of Remembrance is designed to honour our local military veterans and first responders. Funds raised from the event are used for charitable endeavours, with this year’s ceremony in September fundraising for service dogs for veterans. Event organizer Brent O’Connor called the event a “great day,” and pledged to be back this year with an even bigger event.
