JARVIS — Hobitstee Wildlife Refuge was selected as the charity for this year’s Furnal Equinox event, which took place on from March 17-19, 2023 in Toronto.

“We made it home after a fun filled weekend at Furnal Equinox 2023 (FE2023),” said Chantal Theijn, founder of Hobitstee. “Hobbitstee was honoured to be the charity for the event and #JustDave and I attended.”

“We made an effort to dress with the theme for this year, ‘tales from the tavern’, and really enjoyed catching up with many (deer) friends,” she continued. “We want to thank the volunteers who covered for us at home and those who helped us at the convention. We are deeply grateful to all the staff, volunteers, merchants, and attendees of FE2023 for their generous donations and support.”

Hobitstee received over $8,000 in donations at the event. Theijn concluded, “We had an absolute blast!”

Furnal Equinox is a Toronto-based convention celebrating the arts and culture of the furry fandom and animal enthusiasts, held annually during the Spring Equinox weekend in March.

The event sees over 2,200 attendees and hosts a wide variety of events and performances.
