With heavy hearts and profound sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved Dave at NHS St. Catharines with his family at his side. David will be forever missed by his wife Joanne of 36 years, his sons Andrew (Paloma) and Nicholas (Nicole), his brothers Augie (Patsy), George (Shirley) and Gary (Andrea), his brother-in-law Brian (Laura), his father-in-law Jim McGuire, and many nieces, nephews and extended family. Predeceased by his parents Gordon (2014) and Agnes (2006), his mother-in-law Shirley McGuire (2023), his sister Teresa (2018) and brother-in-law Rick Richman (2023).
David was proud to be a Royal Canadian Mounted Police Officer for 35 years, working in Tatamagouche Nova Scotia, Ottawa, Pearson Airport, and Niagara Falls. His career included four years with the RCMP Musical Ride and finished in the Marine Security Operations Centre (MSOC). David was a devoted husband and proud father who loved history, travel, golf and spending time at his cottage with family and friends. He will be forever missed by many friends and colleagues who were fortunate to be a part of his memorable life. David and his family were especially grateful for the number of visitors, messages, and words of support he received at home and while in hospital.
