It is with profound sadness that our mother has now joined our beloved father Victor in heaven. Peacefully with her loving family by her side, on Friday, July 19, 2024, at the West Haldimand General Hospital, Hagersville in her 90th year. Beloved mother of Bev Cote, Donelda Smye, Ken Harding and Heather Harding (Dave Kett). Cherished grandmother to Shannon (Allan) Phibbs, Stephanie (Tony) Morris, Samantha (Kyle) Wentzell, Travis Smye (Shannon), Spencer Smye (Brittney), Ashley McMaster, Melissa McMaster (Luke), Keil McMaster, Kennedy Harding (Nathan) and great-grandchildren Reese, Raelynn, Lainey, Kailey, Gracie, Jorja, Keegan, Addison, Josh, Samantha, Noah, and Natalie. Survived by her sister Zoria Kuzik and sister-in-law Alice Harding. Predeceased by her grandson Nolan Harding and her son-in-law Jim Cote, sister-in-law to the late George and Jean Harding, Muriel and Cyril Lamboun, Urban Harding,  Lena  Elstone, Verna  and Ron MacElwee, Wal and Eleanor Harding.  Also survived by many nieces and nephews, her sisters and brother in laws, Anne (Joe) Bidyk, Jean (John) Boltash and Bill Kuzik. Mom brightened the lives of all those who knew her, with her personality, and kindness. She lived a full life with a solid work ethic, with no quit in her, right until the end. Our mother had a very subtle way of teaching us kids lessons, without us realizing that we were actually learning them. Mom took great pleasure in watching sports, especially minor sports that involved her grandkids and great-grandkids. Mom truly enjoyed the simple things in life. Great joy came from baking, cooking and gardening. A day at grammas house was truly a day of adventure (from walking in the bush or frogging in the creek) and then ending the day baking.  (Mom’s motto was….housework can wait, kids can’t). It was truly a child’s paradise! There will be many of her favourite recipes that will be loved and cherished for years to come.  Cremation has taken place, and a Celebration of her life will take place at a later date. SERENITY BURIAL & CREMATION SERVICES INC., 361 Main Street, Port Dover (226) 290-9093 have been entrusted with the arrangements. For those wishing to make a memorial donation in Stella’s memory they are asked to consider the Heart & Stroke Foundation, 1200-2300 Yonge St, Box 2414, Toronto, Ontario M4P 1E4 or the Alzheimer Society, 645 Norfolk Street North, Simcoe, Ontario N3Y 3R2 or South Coast Community Caring for Cancer, 1112 Cockshutt Rd, Simcoe, Ontario, N3Y 4K4.
