It is with great sadness that the family of Tom Inglis announce his peaceful passing at Edgewater Gardens on August 6, 2024, in his 98th, surrounded by his family. Tom was born on January 6, 1927 in Stirling, Scotland. His family arrived in Canada when Tom was 2 and eventually settled in Dunnville. He drove transport for Phillips for several years and was later employed as Foreman for the Town of Dunnville Public Works. He served as a volunteer firefighter for the Town of Dunnville and was a former member of the Dunnville Lions Club. Tom spent many hours entertaining and spoiling his grandchildren. He loved the farm, his horses and enjoyed leisurely buggy rides on country roads. Tom is survived by his loving wife Mona (Meyer) of 65 years, daughter Anne Marie (Rob) Queh and son, Scott (Carmen) Inglis; his grandchildren, Liam, Niall and Aubin Queh and Katherine (Isaac) Thomas, Ethan and Jaxon Inglis, and great grandchildren Aaliyah, Clara and Isiah Thomas.  Also survived by his sisters -in-law June Inglis and Mabel († Pat) Livingstone, brothers-in-law Ed Meyer (Kathleen), Bob Slaght (†Martha), Joe Wiseman († Isabelle). Predeceased by his parents, Peter and Catherine Inglis, brothers Peter (Doris) and Bill, sisters Katherine Kriter  (Stan) and Isabelle (Lloyd Wilson). He was uncle to many nieces and nephews and is remembered by his extended family and friends. Our family would like to thank Edgewater Gardens for their respect, compassion, and patience as they provided care for Tom over the past few years.  If desired, memorial donations to Edgewater Gardens Residential Council, Dunnville Hospital and Healthcare Foundation or the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family. Family will receive friends at BALLARD MINOR FUNERAL HOME, 315 Broad Street East, Dunnville 905-774-7277 on Sunday August 11th from 2-5 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church, 203 Alder Street West, Dunnville on Monday August 12th at 11 a.m.  Inurnment Woodlawn Cemetery, Dunnville.
