CAYUGA—While Kerry Walford was born and raised in Oakville, she found herself drawn to Cayuga.
“We often took long drives out this way and longed for a slower pace of life and a more rural setting,” said Walford, who moved to Cayuga in 2015 with her husband. “We fell in love with the home we now live in, an 1840s farmhouse.”
Walford hasn’t looked back, and has since opened an art gallery on Winnett Street in Cayuga.
“As early as I can remember art has been a part of my life. All I needed as a child was a pencil and paper to keep me occupied,” said Walford. “Art is a form of meditation for me, hours disappear into what seem like minutes. I love being able to take a feeling or experience and transfer that to canvas to share with others.”
