JARVIS—The Jarvis Lions hosted their 66th annual Jarvis Lions Show this past weekend. To celebrate the 66th anniversary the theme was “Route 66.”

The show was held three nights in a row from February 28 to March 2, 2019. This is one of the Jarvis Lions’ biggest events and they start planning it almost as soon as the last show ends, practicing a few nights a week starting in January to be ready for the live performances.

The Saturday show sold 440 tickets alone, with an estimated total of 1,300 people across all three nights. At intermission homemade treats were available by donation. Every year the proceeds of these sales are donated. This year the proceeds are going to the West Haldimand Hospital and Healthcare Foundation to help purchase equipment for the hospital. This year the candy sales totalled $5,207.10. The Lions are also matching those donations, so the Foundation will receive a donation of $10,414.20.
