HAGERSVILLE—To mark World Alzheimer’s Day on September 21, 2020, Alzheimer Society offices in Simcoe and Hagersville will be illuminated in blue to raise awareness and challenge the stigma associated with dementia. Area residents are also encouraged to get involved by wearing blue and learning as much as they can about the disease.
The prevalence of dementia is steadily increasing, affecting more and more Canadians each year. Yet, stigma continues to be rampant.
