What does Haldimand County, the Niagara Peninsula, smalltown Saskatchewan, and banana bread all have in common? These are all part of Nick Fearns’ lived experiences. Nick is a reporter and assistant editor at The Haldimand Press. Nick is relatively new, having commenced his career with The Press in August 2024. He grew up in Niagara and continues to reside there. He has, however, Haldimand roots stemming from his mother, Kathleen (Armstrong) Fearns, who grew up in the Cayuga area. Since working at The Press and travelling throughout Haldimand, Nick has encountered numerous spots that have triggered memories from his childhood visits to the area.
