It was the “Women in Homesteading” article from the Spring 2025 Farm supplement in The Haldimand Press that piqued my interest. I reached out to Toshia Shurr, who is spearheading this chapter of the organization, to inquire if she had some recipes to share with the readers. Toshia, her husband Larry Shurr, and young son Ivan live on the family dairy farm at Sweets Corners. She is busy with her massage therapy practice, life on the farm with chickens and gardens to attend, Ivan’s hockey schedule, and the Women in Homesteading group. She is also a member of the Heritage Haldimand advisory board. Yes she is busy, but loves every minute of it!
