At the recent 4-H Awards Night, Graham Phibbs spoke to the crowd on behalf of the “On Your Own Club”. Readers may recall I featured this group in my column at the end of August. I had been invited to their Achievement Program where members made a meal for their parents and invited guests. In his remarks, Graham mentioned the wildly popular cookies that were made by fellow member Zoe Tjepkema. It was that moment I realized I had forgotten to write the follow up article to share the remaining recipes!
Harley-Lynn Atkinson’s brownies are a decadent dessert that are fast and easy to make. Harley is a senior 4-H member who was presented with her 48-project seal at the Awards Night. For 2025 she is participating as a member in several clubs, as well as taking on the role of Youth Leader.
