In my world, hockey is finally over. Some of you will be thinking “no it’s not” and I will admit, there is a league that is still slugging it out! However, “my hockey” revolves around my grandsons. The hockey schedule is the Holy Grail that determines how life happens for many months of the year. I was happy to see it end because it allows me to spend more uninterrupted time with the boys.
Over the Easter weekend we did some exploring back in the bush, enjoyed the Minecraft movie, and spent a little time in the kitchen. The stromboli has become one of their family favourites. I even noticed that some of the leftovers were packed in a container for a school lunch.
My contribution to the meal was a new twist for mashed potatoes. The veggie mash recipe came from my trusted Better Homes and Gardens cookbook. Enjoy!
