A reader requested some dessert recipes that were easy to make and ones that she didn’t have to use her oven to make, thereby heating up her house. I immediately thought of these as they are great summer desserts. The banana cream pie is very simple to make and delicious. You can either make your own graham wafer crust or simply purchase one at your local grocery store. If you refrigerate it for at least a half hour it doesn’t require that few minutes in the oven to set properly.

The pretzel peanut butter squares are that sweet and salty combination of flavours. The chocolate and peanut butter can be melted together in the microwave or in a double boiler.

When making the Oreo dessert you can certainly substitute chocolate ice cream for any other variety, if you wish.

Hawaiian fruity dessert makes 12 generous servings. It is a nice light dessert and one that I would certainly make again.

The Skor bit dip is very sweet and creamy, but apples are good for you, right? I suggest using fairly tart apples such as Granny Smith.
