I have been busy making some Christmas treats. I always make several batches of Bits and Bites between now and Christmas; I made a batch yesterday and have already given some of it away. I also made chocolate dipped pretzels sprinkled with sea salt and thought they looked kind of boring, so I decided to dip the second batch into Skor bits and ended up making three batches of them. They are so delicious that I had to get them boxed up because I couldn’t stop eating them. A reader, Jean Ross, recently sent me her recipe for chocolate pretzel bark and it is a great treat. Be sure to let it completely harden in the fridge for at least an hour (after it comes to room temperature) so that it breaks up easily. I did melt some peanut butter chips over the second batch but found that they don’t spread as easily.
