These recipes are some more that I got from Donna Rowntree, who shared some of her favourites with us last week. Donna’s family really likes this crisp recipe and particularly enjoys it when it is made with apples. I tried it and really liked it, too.
I have not tried Donna’s black bean burgers yet, but certainly intend to. Donna stressed that it is very important to use the liquid smoke when making these.
I have a recipe that is similar to Donna’s potato casserole but mine doesn’t call for sour cream. The sour cream makes it nice and creamy and adds a lot of extra flavour.
The asparagus with Hollandaise sauce is a great way to enjoy this vegetable especially while it is still in season. Use only the egg yolks and be sure to keep an eye on them while they are cooking so they don’t become scrambled eggs.
