This sweet and sour sauce is good on meatballs, egg rolls, chicken, or pork. If you prefer you can use less soya sauce and more ketchup and it will be a bit sweeter. Store the unused sauce in a mason jar with a lid in the fridge for up to a year.

The peanut butter bars make a nice large pan full. They are really sweet and delicious so you just need to drizzle the icing over them.

I like baked potatoes and I found this recipe in an old magazine so I tried it. I am glad I did as the filling is really tasty. Add it just before serving the potatoes.

I noticed that a can of crescent rolls I had would soon be past its best before date, so I thought I had better use it up. I simply opened it and spread each triangle with a mixture of white sugar and cinnamon. I cut an unpeeled apple into sections and placed a piece on the wide end of each triangle. Then I tucked a piece of cream cheese next to the apple and rolled it up. I spread melted butter over each roll and sprinkled more of the sugar mixture on top, then baked them for about 12 minutes at 375. They were really good, but I think the next time I make them I will soften the cheese slightly so it melts into the roll more. They should be served while still slightly warm.
