I made these dog biscuits for my kids’ dogs and my friend Sue made them for her dog, Crosby, last week and they all really liked them. Jane’s dogs liked them so much that she made up another batch for them. You can put tablespoon sized pieces on sheet and flatten lightly with a fork dipped in flour if you don’t have a cookie cutter.

I had a request for a pasta salad with bacon and so I am including this one that I make often during the warmer months. If you don’t have fresh basil on hand just add a tablespoonful of dried basil. When I make it, I usually use the small cocktail-sized tomatoes and simply halve them. I find that they are less watery if the salad sits for a while before serving it. I buy bacon when it is on sale, bake it and chop it, then store it in the freezer for use later. If you do this just let it thaw before adding it.

These easy marmalade meatballs are just as it says – easy as you start with frozen meatballs that you just let thaw before putting them into the Crock-Pot. I really liked the combination of ingredients in the sauce as it was sweet but with a bit of spice, too.

Thanks for continuing with our Random Acts of Kindness. My friend gave me some nylon socks to cut up to patch my grandson’s nylon racing pants; two people told me about having their Tim Horton’s orders paid for; I made a cake for a friend’s 40th birthday; I was given a bottle of wine for helping someone. My friend baked twice this past week for her grandkids, and she took a friend of hers to a couple of appointments. I baked for both my son’s and daughter-in-law’s workmates.
