I received two excellent recipes for holiday entertaining in a package from Foodland Ontario and am sharing them here. I haven’t been able to try them because I am fighting a head cold and no one would want to eat anything that I bake right now. Cheesy onion pinwheels have taken the classic flavour of onion soup and turned it into bite-sized appetizers. The recipe starts with crescent roll dough and you could make the filling ahead of time as it will keep well in the refrigerator for up to three days. These may also be frozen and thawed in the microwave on high for 30 seconds. I love Brie cheese and this baked Brie is a festive cheesy dish for the holidays. The pear and cranberry mixture goes really well with the brie. I have no idea where I got this recipe for date and goat cheese bites as I found it on a random piece of paper in my file box. I tried them and they are really tasty.
