It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of Stuart (Stu) Allan, who passed away on Sunday, August 2, 2026, at the age of 63. Born on July 18, 1963, in Middlesbrough, England, Stu lived a life filled with unwavering love for his family and friends. Beloved husband to April of almost 37 years, and proud father of his two daughters, Brittany (Braden) and Courtney. Becoming a Grandad to Lily was his greatest joy, and he treasured every moment spent being “Daddad.” He will be deeply missed by his mother (Ann) and father (Leslie). He was predeceased by his biological father (Ernest [Gladwyn]). Stu also leaves behind his brother (Russell [Rosemary]), sister (Mandy [Dave]), and three step-brothers (Dewi [Susan], Gareth, and Sion [Kerryn]). He will be missed, and his memory forever cherished, also by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends, both near and far. A passionate sports fan, Stu proudly supported Manchester City through every season and “bled blue.” He was a faithful Toronto Maple Leafs and Tennessee Titans fan, even though he never got to see either win a Stanley Cup or Super Bowl championship. Raised in Hamilton, he also never missed an opportunity to root for the Hamilton Tiger Cats. Though his passing leaves an immeasurable void, he will always be remembered for his hearty laugh, sense of humour, warm heart, and Canada Day celebrations. In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place. All those who wish to pay their respects and commemorate Stu’s life are invited to a visitation, which will be held on Friday, August 7, from 3-7 p.m. at Miller’s Funeral Home in Caledonia. There will be no funeral service. Forever loved. Forever missed. Forever remembered. Friends are invited to call at MILLER FUNERAL CHAPEL, 28 Caithness Street East, Caledonia, on August 7, 2026, from 3-7 p.m. Friends and family are invited to send condolences and sign the Book of Memories at www.millerfuneralchapel.ca.
