Peacefully surrounded by his wife of 41 years, Christine (nee Nigh), and his beloved children, Brittany (Josh) and Jorden, Ken slipped into the arms of the Lord and began his everlasting reward on Sunday September 21, 2025, at the Norfolk General Hospital, Simcoe. Ken’s biggest joy in life was his three beautiful grandchildren: Joel, Mila and Sadie Sullivan. Nothing brought Pop more joy than spending time at the arena watching his boy play and making his precious girls laugh. They will miss him terribly. Predeceased by his parents, Gord and June Best, he will be dearly missed by his siblings: George (Cheryl), Joyce Ann (Roger), and Marie (Dave) Ken will be fondly remembered by his mother-in-Law Elinor, and Christine’s siblings Howie (Lisa), Lindi, and Heather (Paul), as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and his life long friends, Wayne and Larry. Ken and Christine were the owners of Christine’s Bakery in Jarvis, and he took pride in the meals he created for all their wonderful customers and enjoyed whipping up delicious treats that became his specialty. Ken loved his dogs, the Montreal Canadiens, and a good police show blasting on the TV at night. Our lives will all be a little less bright without him. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Ken’s Life will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at Simcoe Gospel Chapel, 4152 Hwy 3, Simcoe from 2 – 4 p.m. pm with memories of Ken to be shared at 3 p.m. SERENITY BURIAL & CREMATION SERVICES INC., 361 Main Street, Port Dover (226) 290-9093 have been entrusted with the arrangements.
