Entered into rest peacefully in his 81st year, at West Haldimand General Hospital, with his family by his side. Fred was the beloved husband of Mary for 54 years. Dad of Jared (Megan) Brauen and Heidi (Glen) MacMillan. Grandfather of Madison, Cole, Olivia, Sophia, Jason, Russel, Kaylin (Tyler) Myers. Great-grandfather of Olivia, †Daxton, and Emma. He is survived by siblings Ruby Brauen, Phillip Brauen, Sharon Robinson, Kenneth Brauen, Paul Brauen, and Joseph Brauen. He is predeceased by his parents, Walter and Lillian, and his siblings Ernest Brauen, Daniel Brauen, Faythe Colbert, Miriam Neale, David Brauen, and Elizabeth Cannom. He will be remembered by many people for his love and support of Hagersville Hawks Minor Hockey, and for always being known for wearing his orange hat wherever he went.
