Entered into rest on November 2, 2023. Beloved husband of over 52 years to Aase. Cherished father of Carmine (Doug), Matthew (Michelle), and Marta (Barclay). Adored by his eight grandchildren – Leah, Bethany, Jared, Hope, Keira, Gibson, Chloe, and Jonas. He will be missed by his long-time friends in the community and his extended family. “Grumpy Gramps” was a man of few spoken words, but loved the written word – teaching English for 31 years, being an avid reader, and a first-rate editor for all the family’s essays and other papers. The honourary mayor of Decewsville for almost 50 years, Jerry loved to go for walks, spend time puttering around the homestead, and cheering on his Tiger-Cats and Maple Leafs. We would like to extend our gratitude to Dr. Kobah and the many physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members at St. Joseph’s Healthcare who provided kind and compassionate care to dad.
