The Lord called home to Glory, after a short illness, His child, Peter Damm, February 12, 2024. Predeceased by his first wife Eileen (2003). He leaves behind his wife of 19 years, Sylvia (Elgersma), his children Louis (Marian), Sherry (Bruce), Renita (Mitch) Kiers, Andrew (Fran), Cynthia (Dave) Marchand; his grandchildren, Peter (Netty), Ben (Rani), Nick, Spencer, Shannon, Braydon, Brittany, Tyson, Gavin and Brittany Kiers. “Old Pake” of his great grandchildren Aaron, Jonah, Malachi, Esther, Ezra and Elsa. A brother of Jack (Edith) Dam, Cecil (Sy) Dam, Katie Vanderwier, Don (Tilda) Dam. Brother-in-law of John (Adrienne) Keizer, Jessie (Jim) Foley, Jim (Sheila) Keizer. Predeceased by his parents Louis and Renske Dam, his sister Elsie Heida, his brother Frank Dam, sister-in-law Thea Dam and brother-in-law William Vanderwier. Peter also leaves behind 9 step-children, Arthur, Alice (Andy) Algera, Melvin (Livia), Fred (Connie), Caroline (Shank) Vanderheide, Marge (Jack) Smidts, Betty, Jacqui (Alan) Armstrong, Louise (Rick) Jablonski. Peter also had 22 step-grandchildren and 30 step-great grandchildren. Friends were invited to call at Bethel Christian Reformed Church, 17 Robinson Road, Dunnville on Thursday, February 15, 2024 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Following a private family graveside service, a memorial service was held at Bethel CRC on Friday, February 16, 2024 at 2 p.m. (Arrangements entrusted to BALLARD MINOR FUNERAL HOME, Dunnville (905-774-7277).
