With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Marilyn “Midge” Harrison on July 11, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born September 16, 1959, and raised in Canfield, Midge was the beloved wife of Neil for 47 years, devoted mother to Brad (Kristy), Chris (Erica), Nicky (Tom), and Jessica (Justin), and cherished Grandma to Ainsley, Brody, Logan, Madison, Hudson, Benjamin, Brook Lynn, Jayden, Sawyer, Jameson, and Paislee. She will be deeply missed by her siblings Pat (Dave), Helen (Barry), Jim (Laura), Ralph, Marie, Kathy (Dan), and sisters-in-law Diane and Marlene (Bill). Predeceased by her parents Peter and Vilma Funke, step-brother Danny (Sharon), sister Nancy (Garnet), and brother-in-law and friend Fred. Midge was a beloved aunt to over 30 nieces and nephews. Midge shared a lifelong bond with her dearest friends Kellie, Robbie and sister Marie, whose love, laughter, and adventures brought her endless joy. Known for her warmth, laughter, and unwavering love for her family, Midge also had a long and meaningful career in retail, ending at Mark’s Work Wearhouse in Caledonia. Visitation was held on Monday, July 14, 2025 at Ballard Minor Funeral Home, Dunnville. Funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, July 15, 2025 at Saint Stephen’s Catholic Church, Cayuga, followed by interment East Seneca Cemetery, Canfield. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society or Dunnville Hospital and Healthcare Foundation are appreciated.
