Peacefully, surrounded by the love of his family, at Norfolk General Hospital, Simcoe, on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, in his 74th year. Predeceased by his parents, Steve and Lucy (Kowalchuk). Beloved husband of Susan (Krupa). Loving father of Shawn (Nicole) and Melissa (Matt) Murtland. Cherished grandpa to Stetson, Rhett, Bruin, Aiden, and Aaliyah. Survived by his brother, John (Amelia), and nephews, John Jr. and David (Mandy). Predeceased by his brother, Dan (2007). Wally was welcomed into heaven by many family members and friends with open arms, as well as wagging tails and purrs from pets now passed. Cremation has taken place.
