It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Lois Irvine, peacefully on July 12, 2026, at St. Peter’s Hospital in her 91st year, after a short but courageous battle with cancer. Lois led a very social life and loved playing cards with her many friends and family. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Donna Deleeuw (Peter); son, Bill Irvine (Denise); and grandchildren Andrea (Alex), Emily, and Elizabeth (Jordan), and sadly by baby Wong, arriving in October 2026. Lois was predeceased by her husband, Munroe (Gus). She will also be remembered by many family and friends. The family extends its heartfelt gratitude to the doctors, staff, and especially the wonderful nurses at St. Peter’s Hospital in Hamilton, for their kindness, compassion, and care they showed Lois and her family during this difficult time. Cremation has taken place. A graveside service will take place on Monday, July 27, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at Sinclairville United Church Cemetery. A luncheon will follow in the church basement.In lieu of flowers, donations to Sinclairville United Church or a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
